Can I try the Stori platform for free?

Yes! The best way to experience Stori is to try it before purchasing. Simply sign up for a free trial account and start creating unlimited experiences, contests, and more. Our Free Plan never expires after 14-days.

What if I'm only interested in the Stori Platform?

You can signup the platform on its own. The platform is the “brain” of the system, we suggest our customers leverage the marketing benefits before exploring other Stori products.

What if I'm only interested in Stori Selfie Cam?

Our products are sold individually. If you only want to use the Stori Selfie Cam app, we have plans just for this service. See our pricing page for details.

Do I have to enter my credit card to sign up?

No. We only need your email address to create your free account. If you choose to upgrade to one of our paid subscriptions, we’ll ask for your billing information at that time.

Are there discounts for yearly plans?

Yes! If you pay for a year in advance you save 30% on the Starter Plan, 25% on the Business Plan, and 20% on the Agency and Brand Plans.

Can you help me move from my old provider?

Yes. Yes, we can. We have a team dedicated to migrating you from your old provider fo’ freeeeeeeee. Moving to a better solution shouldn’t be painful, it should be delightful.

Can I change plans?

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, pause your account, or switch between monthly and annual billing at any time. You may receive account credit if you downgrade to a lower-priced plan, and you will be billed immediately for any difference when upgrading to a higher-priced plan.

Can we pay by credit card or manual checks/wire transfer?

By default, we require purchases to be made by credit card to receive the discounted pricing. If you require paying by manual check/wire transfer, you may incur additional fees. Chat with your sales rep or email us if you have any other questions.

How much technical knowledge is required to use Stori?

None! Building contests, landing pages with Stori is as easy as uploading your content and images where you want. Customize your campaigns with our professionally designed templates and themes. You have complete control over alignment, padding, borders, buttons, and more — no CSS or coding required.

Can I embed my contests, giveaways, or social content on my website?

Absolutely! The option to embed is available starting with all our plans. You can use our embed code to display your campaign on your website, blog or anywhere you can embed an iframe.

How many story collaborators can I have?

Depending on the plan you choose, you can have 1 or an unlimited number of users.

Do I need a website to use Stori?

No.   We recommend a website solution to display the stori board online; however, your Stori can be displayed on TV’s, jumbo screens, mobile devices and more!

Can I close my account at any time?

Of course. There are no ongoing contracts or cancellation penalties. You can also pause your account billing for up to 90 days. If you have paid for an annual Stori subscription, and you decide to cancel within the first three months of signing up, we may offer a prorated refund for any unused portion of your subscription (up to 50% of the total plan value). Month-to-month subscriptions are not eligible for refunds.

How long does it take to get going?

It takes about 10-20-minutes to to connect your social accounts and launch your first campaign.

How do I get support if I need it?

Do I get a discount for referring customers?

Live Events FAQ’s

How can I have Stori LIVE at my event?

Please visit our live events page and request a booking, we will get back to you within 24-hours. If your event is less than 24-hours please call us.

What cities does Stori service?

Worldwide! Our team each week is on the road or at an airport. We have and are more than willing to travel long distances to serve you. Travel expenses can be negotiated with your sales rep.

What are the minimum/maximum time commitments?

2 hours for drop off rentals in select cities, 4 hours is the minimum time for our live services booking and 8 hours is the typical day maximum; however, any time commitments greater than 8 hours can be negotiated.

Is a deposit required to book an event?

Yes.  A 50% deposit is required to book your event. Contact your sales rep for more details on the process.

Do I get a access to my content after the event?

Yes. You get access to your account dashboard that will display all activity happening real-time from all the Stori Selfie Cams.

Do I need to publish my content to social media?

No. You can publish in real-time to your social networks or create a private gallery.

Can I pay with my credit card?

Yes. Contact your sales rep for details on payment.

Will I have technical support at my event?

Yes. If you did not select our dropoff rental service, you will have a dedicated event manager that will be onsite throughout the event. We will give peace of mind knowing that if any issues occur, we are right there to handle it for you.

Can I send the photos to multiple Facebook pages?

No.  You can only post to one connected Facebook profile page.

Do you provide a photo booth background?

Sorry, we do not offer photo backgrounds. But we are more than happy to work with you to come up with ideas and assist in connecting you with the right people.

Can I move the Stori Social Cam during the event?

Yes.  It is very light and mobile, but it requires professional attention to ensure nothing gets damaged.

How much space is required for the Stori Social Cam?

3’x3′ is the footprint of the unit; however, the standard booth with backdrop would require approximately 10′ x 10′.

How do I get access to my data from the guests that given their emails?

You get access to the email addresses through your dashboard manager.

How long do we need to setup?

A majority of the setup is done before we appear at your event which required. We will always get to your event at least 1-hour before the event starts and setup usually takes less than 30-minutes.

Can you help me with the designs?

Yes. We have a full graphics team to help you with the branding.

Technical FAQ’s

What social media networks does Stori support?

Currently we support images and video from Twitter, Instagram & Facebook

Why doesn't Stori support Facebook hashtags?

Facebook hashtag searches are not supported by the Facebook API, so Facebook hashtags cannot be added as sources to a Stori feed.

However, we cannot guarantee that any Facebook posts can be added manually to your feed. Privacy/geographic restrictions, or other reasons beyond our control, frequently restrict Stori from acquiring post data from Facebook.

What is a social media feed source?

We define a “source” as a single username or hashtag on a single social network. For example, if you add the hashtag #fbf from Twitter and Instagram, these are considered two social media sources. Or, if you have five different Facebook pages, that counts as five sources.

The sources in your feed can be any combination of accounts/hashtags.

Does content appear immediately in the social hub?

No, you allow or deny what content appears in your storiboard. If you feel like this content is safe, you can auto moderate content directly to your stoiboard.

How do I use my feed at a live event?

Every Stori feed comes with a dedicated URL that displays the feed full-screen. We strongly recommend using this URL to display your feed within a browser (projected/displayed on a screen) during the event. You can locate this URL for your feed under the experience tab, press the “live preview” button and it will launch your full-screen experience.

By default, all full-screen experiences will automatically refresh your feed at our usual 2-minute update interval.

When using Social-TV, does the live stream show photos participants have taken with their own mobile phone?

Yes, content submitted from attendees mobile phones that have used your hashtag will be displayed on your Social-TV if the content was approved.

Can I block certain posts from my Stori feed, review all posts before they enter my feed, etc.?

Yes. All of Stori paid plans to include robust moderation and filtering features, located under the “Moderate” area of the Storiboard dashboard.

Included in these features are fields for blocking posts that contain words or phrases of your choosing, as well as built-in profanity and duplicate post blockers that you can enable with a simple checkbox. You may also enable a “moderation queue” that sends all posts into a queue, where they will require your approval to appear in your public feed.

I need to display posts that contain two or more hashtags simultaneously. Can I filter my posts this way?

Yes. This is possible by entering the hashtags as a source for your feed (in the “Feeds” area of your Storiboard dashboard). By doing this, posts pulled in for #hashtag1, #hashtag2, and on will be displayed in a drop-down list.

Can Stori pull In comments/replies from Facebook, Twitter, etc.?

Stori is unable to pull in the comments/replies that appear below other posts, even if those posts include a hashtag that’s set as a source for your feed.

Stori can pull in Facebook posts that are made on your Facebook source page (provided these posts aren’t comments/replies to another post).

Can I have others on my team help me moderate?

Yes, you can add multiple users that only see their assigned storiboards.

Should I obtain permission from people before I display their hashtag posts?

If you plan to display hashtag posts from users on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or any other network as part of a campaign or other effort, please review this blog post

With Stori, you can now contact social media users directly to ask permission to display/repurpose their posts. This may not be necessary, depending on how you plan to use the social content.

Stori cannot provide legal advice regarding the use of user-generated content (UGC). Contact a legal expert before you use social media content in a way that may require obtaining explicit consent.

Can I use Stori under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)?

Stori is aware of the GDPR measures taking effect in May, 2018. We are committed to the safe storage of all data, and will remove any data at the request of the corresponding user.

Like most Software as a Service (SaaS) businesses, Stori collects a small amount of personally identifying information (PII), which is voluntarily provided by our users, such as email addresses and passwords (which are encrypted).

Separately, Stori collects publicly available social media post information, in order to smoothly display social posts. These data are collected when a social media source is entered into a Stori feed, and are deleted when the source is removed. These may or may not contain PII, but the posts must be fully public to be obtained by our service.

Stori does not collect any data from people who merely view Stori social feeds that are embedded on a website.

Please note that Stori does not have servers outside of the United States. By nature of being a Stori user, any data you provide will be transmitted to the U.S., though strong security measures are in place to protect your information.
